The Bakersfield Guy's Newsletter! Issue #22

Another business plans to close its doors while another one finally opens, a local diner downtown, and a ridiculously long events list that absolutely tormented me all in issue #22!

Local Business Spotlight

Tina Marie’s Restaurant

I had seen Tina Marie’s downtown for YEARS. I had never gone in to try simply because it never came up. This morning I finally decided to take my wife and I because we did not know where to go, and I’m so glad I did!

Personally, I love diners. The setting inside was very interesting and unique! We will be going back soon because the food was delicious, the customer service was great and the price was about average for the quality of food and portion we got. Check out some of the pictures below

KRRJ Collectibles to Close

Another local Bakersfield business is set to close its doors in 2025. KRRJ Collectibles is a great, local shop that has brought a unique selection of goods and events. They recently had WWE hall of famer and over wrestling legend Mick Foley in the building as an example of the cool things they did.

The good news is they’re not done with events or operations overall. They’re still going to be popping up at events and will be working out of an online store so they’ll still be around!

If you want to get in there one more time, their last day of operations is currently planned to be December 28th! Make sure to go and show some support and thank them for years of service.

Mr. Tempo had its soft opening!

Mr. Tempo!

After what feels of 2 or so years of watching the building that was Dave’s BBQ on Rosedale slowly transform to Mr Tempo, and eventually what looked like it was it might never open, it had a soft opening a few days ago. Good to see it finally open, and the inside looks very unique from what I’ve seen.

I’ll be paying them a visit to see how it’s like soon.
