A Local Holiday

Korn Day in Bakersfield

If you caught my video earlier this week, you already know Tuesday, February 24th was officially Korn Day in Bakersfield. Yes, that Korn. The band that put Bakersfield on the map in a whole different way than Buck Owens did.

It's a proud moment for the city. Not every city can say it's the birthplace of a band that helped define an entire genre of music. Bakersfield born, globally known.

Korn is attributed by many as the creator of Nu Metal, a genre that had a big run in the late 90s to early 2000s, and they even won two Grammys!

If you missed the video, go check it out on my TikTok and Instagram. And if you're a Korn fan, or just a proud Bakersfield local, this one's worth celebrating.

Fun Fact: Munky from Korn commented on my post!

If you have the spare means to donate anything at all, please hit the link below and let’s help them make sure that money is the least of their worries as the family goes through an incredibly difficult time.

Here is the link for their go fund me account. Thanks guys.
