Public Service Announcement
Sorry for the short issue guys. Currently on a family vacation. I write this beach side AirBNB while I drink a beer. I wanted to make sure to at least put out a small issue for you guys with some info and events. I’m working on a solution with a website to have some centralized version of TBG where people can submit events and have a bit of information. I’ll let you guys know when it goes live!
Pet of the Week
Rhonda

Here she is in all her glory!
Looking for a sweet, easygoing companion? Rhonda might be the perfect match.
One of our readers recently took Rhonda out through Kern County Animal Services' Doggy Day Out program and shared this after spending the day with her:
"She was super sweet and friendly. She was happy our entire day out. She enjoyed pup cups, string cheese, relaxing with me under the shade, and spending time at the park."
Sometimes all a shelter dog needs is a chance to get out of the kennel and show their personality. During her day out, Rhonda proved she's a calm, affectionate dog who enjoys simple adventures and quality time with people.
Name: Rhonda
Animal ID: A1115464
Available through: Kern County Animal Services
This Saturday July 25th Take a Shelter Dog Out for the Day event is happening, and you’ll have a chance to hang out with Rhonda! Check out details here.
If you're interested in meeting Rhonda, visit Kern County Animal Services and reference Animal ID A1115464. Not quite ready to adopt? Consider participating in the shelter's Doggy Day Out program to give a shelter dog a fun day outside the kennel.
If you meet or adopt Rhonda, let us know, we'd love to share your story in a future newsletter. Plus if you have your own pet you want us to include in the newsletter, email me the info! [email protected]
